THE SERVICE EXPLAINED

What this
service covers.

MDR combines security monitoring with human investigation and agreed response actions. The monitoring provider, coverage hours, systems monitored, and authority to act must be clear before the service starts.

WAYS WE CAN HELP

From an alert
to an agreed next action.

We help define the selected service, the organization’s responsibilities, and how a security concern is escalated.

01

Environment and coverage review

Identify the selected devices, systems, security tools, and monitoring requirements involved in the service.

02

Provider and tool coordination

Confirm the chosen monitoring provider, supported integrations, licenses, and responsibilities for the environment.

03

Alert review and investigation scope

Define which alerts are reviewed and how suspicious activity is investigated by the selected service provider.

04

Escalation contacts

Identify the people who receive security communications and who can approve or coordinate the next action.

05

Response permissions

Agree on which actions can be taken, which need approval, and which require a separate incident-response scope.

06

Service administration

Discuss onboarding, reporting, coverage changes, provider coordination, and other administration included in the agreement.

PLAN YOUR WORK

What your project
can include.

Monitoring hours, supported systems, response authority, incident investigation, and recovery work depend on the selected service and agreement.

  • The selected monitoring coverage and provider roles
  • Defined alert, escalation, and response responsibilities
  • Required contacts, access, and response permissions
  • The agreed onboarding and service-administration information

Share your site, users, current equipment, and the issue or upgrade. Let us know about access requirements and any important dates.

02

Review the options

Discuss a support plan or project proposal with the tasks, equipment, licenses, fees, responsibilities, and work windows included.

03

Complete the work

Carry out the agreed tasks, check the functions in scope, and hand over administrator access, useful records, and remaining actions.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Before you
get started.

Have a different question?

Call (240) 503-1611 or send us a message. We reply by email or phone.

How is MDR different from EDR?

EDR is a category of endpoint security software. MDR is a managed service combining monitoring, investigation, and agreed response. MDR may use endpoint tools as part of its coverage.

Is monitoring available around the clock?

Coverage hours and staffing depend on the selected service. We confirm monitoring hours, escalation timing, and response responsibilities before onboarding.

Who takes action when an alert is raised?

The agreement identifies the provider’s actions, your organization’s contacts, and any approvals required. Avoid assuming that every possible response action is included.

Is recovery from every incident included?

No. Investigation, containment, recovery, and business-system restoration can involve different scopes. The proposal explains what is included and what requires separate authorization.

Can you work with our existing IT team?

Yes. Internal IT roles, provider responsibilities, access, and escalation contacts can be planned together as part of the selected service.
