Endpoint detection and response services

Endpoint
Detection &
Response.

Help protect your business computers with endpoint detection and response, or EDR. We help plan deployment, administration, alert handling, and the responsibilities around the selected security service.

THE SERVICE EXPLAINED

What this
service covers.

An endpoint is a device such as a business computer. EDR is security software designed to detect suspicious activity and support investigation and response. Software, alert monitoring, and human response coverage are distinct parts of the service.

WAYS WE CAN HELP

The software and the people
responsible for its alerts.

We define which devices are covered, how the selected tool is managed, and who is responsible for monitoring and response.

01

Device and platform review

Identify the computers, operating systems, existing protection, and requirements before selecting the deployment scope.

02

Tool and license planning

Confirm the selected endpoint-security product, compatibility, licensing, and provider responsibilities for your environment.

03

Installation and configuration

Deploy and configure the agreed software on compatible devices included in the project.

04

Policy and administrator setup

Review the settings and administrative roles included in the service. Confirm who owns the management access.

05

Alert and response responsibilities

Define who receives alerts, investigates them, authorizes actions, and communicates with your team.

06

Continuing administration

Discuss the agreed ongoing tasks, device changes, service hours, and reporting arrangements for the selected agreement.

PLAN YOUR WORK

What your project
can include.

Licenses, monitoring hours, managed response, incident work, and support for additional devices depend on the selected product and agreement.

  • The device list and selected security-service scope
  • Deployment and settings for compatible devices in scope
  • Confirmed administrator and alert-handling responsibilities
  • Handover information and the agreed ongoing tasks
GETTING STARTED

What happens next?

A useful first conversation starts with the location, systems, and help your organization needs.

01

Tell us what you need

Share your site, users, current equipment, and the issue or upgrade. Let us know about access requirements and any important dates.

02

Review the options

Discuss a support plan or project proposal with the tasks, equipment, licenses, fees, responsibilities, and work windows included.

03

Complete the work

Carry out the agreed tasks, check the functions in scope, and hand over administrator access, useful records, and remaining actions.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Before you
get started.

Have a different question?

Call (240) 503-1611 or send us a message. We reply by email or phone.

Is EDR the same as ordinary antivirus?

EDR focuses on detecting device activity and supporting investigation and response. Products can overlap with antivirus functions, but the exact features depend on the tool selected.

Does installing EDR mean someone watches every alert?

Not automatically. We confirm whether monitoring and human response are included, who provides them, and the hours and actions covered.

Can you deploy EDR on our existing computers?

We review the operating systems, existing security tools, compatibility, and access before agreeing on the device deployment.

Can EDR guarantee that a device will never be compromised?

No security tool can guarantee that. The service is one part of your wider approach to device configuration, accounts, updates, backup, and response.

Should we also consider managed detection and response?

If you need people and a process for reviewing and responding to security alerts, discuss MDR alongside the endpoint tools. The responsibilities should be clear in the agreement.
